DATA DRIVEN MODEL:
If you want to use an EOP Experience as a fundraiser, you will want to know why our model works. While the idea of an "epic event" might be new to your school, it has been a successful model since 1973 when Penn State University organized the first Dance Marathon (now known as THON). The "Dance Marathon" model has become a common method of raising funds at major universities and secondary schools throughout the nation. This model focuses on participants getting pledges, or donations, in order to attend a culminating epic event. Certainly you do not need to use "Dance Marathon" in your branding. In fact, we suggest you choose a branding that will resonate with your students. However, the concept of this model is the same regardless of event name.
